Why It Should Be Cub Nation

While the Billy Goat Curse lives on to haunt the Chicago Cubs 100 years after the fact, the Red Sox have been cured of the Bambino. And, frankly, I just don't think it's fair. I've seen Sox fans get within 2 inches of an elderly woman and scream at her about her beloved Yankees. Not cool. In my book, if there's any team that should inspire a nation's love and support, it's the Cubbies. I'd write a bunch of reasons why, but I think this marvelous new ad campaign says it all.

I saw an HBO Documentary on the Cubbies, and it actually made me well up with tears. I have been a Yankee fan my entire life, but if there a team that I can root four outside of the Bronx, it's the Chicago Cubs. Their fans are a testament to all that is pure about sports. While they are overbearing at times (that dude had to go into witness protection for making Alou drop the ball) surprisingly, it comes from a good place. I love those posters. Great find Mike!
